Hook: Can you think of someone’s kindness that you have taken for granted? What do the simple words “thank you” say about a person?

Book: This group of ten lepers illustrated the response Jesus was getting from the people. Most were ungrateful and unbelieving, and a portion of the few who believed were outside the Jewish faith. Even though Jesus did exactly what these men wanted and needed, they callously went on their way assuming they deserved their gracious gift. The story would have been so different if they had simply acknowledged the Gift Giver.
