Hook: Why do people get distracted or bored during prayer?

Book: Could it be that many don’t know how to pray God’s way? Jesus taught His followers this prayer, which contains six petitions. The first three contain reminders about God and His Kingdom, and the final three reflect how to live. When prayers begin by praising God, it logically flows into a desire to trust Him. But, wait! Jesus followed this prayer with more exhortation on forgiveness in verses 14 and 15. Could it be that the ultimate test of your prayer life is to get off your knees to extend forgiveness? Praying God’s way will make you more forgiving, like He is.
