Hook: Why is getting even with others overrated?

Book: Revenge may feel good, but it doesn’t work. Just when you think you have won, you discover that you really lost. Jesus used some common-known laws of retaliation to show a better way. Instead of exacting everything due you from others, demonstrate humility and faith by turning the cheek, giving your coat, or walking the extra mile. Revenge doesn’t satisfy, but trusting yourself to God’s eventual justice and care does.
