Hook: How can you tell when a leader has authority not just a position?

Book: The people were amazed with the authority Jesus demonstrated in His teaching. Unlike other teachers, He had both firsthand knowledge and unique passion for God’s truth, which set Him apart. He backed up His teaching by demonstrating His authority over demons. Jesus made quite a statement by making one of His first miracles the removal of a demon from a man in their house of worship. This symbolism foretold much of His future ministry on earth.
