Hook: What are some ways people try to thwart the work of God on earth?

Book: In spite of the ignorance they faked during the trials, the religious leaders knew quite well the teaching of Jesus, especially about resurrection. Their accusation of deception is really a testimony to their own style. This effort to team up with the Romans to prevent the Resurrection was futile since the purposes of God always prevail. Their failure is a reminder to always trust what God says in His Word because it always comes true.
