Hook: Why is unity such a delicate commodity in families and churches?

Book: In this section of His prayer, Jesus looked to the future and prayed also for those who will believe. That includes you! He prayed that future believers would so imitate the unity of the Godhead that the world may believe. Jesus must have felt that Christian oneness and unity would be the most powerful witness to unbelievers of His mission and the Father’s glory. As you lay aside petty or selfish desires, it makes the Father known. Nothing attracts like unity.
