Hook: What do you think would help Christians feel confident in their walk with God?

Book: Just before He went out the door to begin the journey to the Cross, Jesus gave the disciples this admonition: If you love me, you will obey what I command. He promised that the Holy Spirit would come to help them understand His words and that He would one day return from heaven to reward their obedience. The search for a secret to the Christian life ends in obedience. It reveals your love and brings the peace you covet. The Lord’s submission to His Father strengthened Him to say, Come now; let us leave. He obediently stepped out the door to face death on the Cross to glorify His Father.
