Hook: What kind of choices tend to bring suffering into your life?

Book: This passage begins the Olivet discourse, which answered the question: What will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age? Jesus’ answer revealed the terrible events and suffering that will accompany the first half (verses 4–8) and the second half (verses 9–14) of the Tribulation period. If the nation had accepted Jesus as their Messiah, they would have saved themselves and future generations much pain. Choices have consequences.
