Hook: What do you think causes the mixed responses to Jesus today?

Book: The responses to Jesus in this passage are typical. Many would not believe in Him, while some of those who did would not openly acknowledge their faith for fear of the Pharisees. Why do people respond so differently to Jesus? He made it clear that those who believe see the One who sent Me. Believers see the Father in Jesus and hear the ring of heaven in His words. Jesus pointed people to the Heavenly Father with His words and His works. For those who saw, the result was faith and eternal life.
