Hook: How do you feel when a person forces you to defend yourself?

Book: The religious leaders repudiated the Lord’s claim to be the Light of the world because He testified for Himself. Jesus responded that His knowledge was greater than theirs and that even the Father witnessed to His character. (Remember His baptism?) Not only had they ignored all the miracles and teaching of Jesus, they also revealed that they did not know the Father. Jesus must have tired of defending Himself before people who refused to see the Light sent by the Father.
