Hook: What is the most blatant display of selfishness you have witnessed recently?

Book: The term “pig” is often used to describe a person who only cares for himself at the expense of others. This demon-possessed man was extremely self-centered before his healing, but his dysfunction paled in comparison to the selfishness of the people. They were more concerned about their pigs than about his healing or the benevolent Jesus. Their greed and self-interest revealed a lack of love for people and lack of respect for God. What prevents you from celebrating a person’s turnaround or rejoicing at God’s grace to others?
