Hook: Why do people sometimes play dumb when they really know the facts?

Book: These leaders arrested Jesus because they didn’t like the things He taught, and then they acted ignorant of His teaching. Their questions were merely a trap. They slapped His face because He refused to play their evil game. When people reject the truth their style gives them away. Here they used mob rule, secrecy, entrapping questions, false witnesses, and abusive behavior. When people act unfairly, truth is not their goal. The style of untruth always reveals an agenda.
