Hook: When did you ever feel that circumstances in your life were out of control?

Book: The large mob brought swords and clubs to control the arrest but soon discovered that they were not in charge. Even Peter tried to intervene with a sword. Jesus surprised everyone, revealing that His Father and the Scriptures would dictate events. In the midst of hatred from His enemies and betrayal and desertion from His friends, Jesus confidently trusted in God’s Word, which predicted these events. Trusting the Scriptures allowed Him to place control where it belonged. The Father will never disappoint you.
