Hook: When has your faith in Jesus brought conflict or hate in someone else?

Book: Jesus knew that His followers would become the targets of hate-filled people. He warned: “They will treat you this way because of My name, for they do not know the One who sent Me.” When personal attacks don’t make sense, look behind the words. Unfairness simply reveals the heart. Whether it is the crucifixion of Jesus or the attacks on the faithful, hate exposes a lack of love and obedience to the Father. When it comes your way, it verifies you know the Father and seek to serve him (2 Timothy 3:12).
