Hook: Why do people think a walk with God is difficult?

Book: On the path from the Upper Room to the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus passed a vineyard and used the analogy to teach His disciples how to stay connected with Him after His death. The flow of their obedience to his words would strengthen the bond between the Vine and His branches. To Jesus it was simple: “If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands and remain in His love.” Closeness with God is merely a step of obedience away.
