Hook: How do people make faith in Jesus complicated?

Book: The irony in this event is that a blind man taught people with sight how to see Jesus. On His way to Jerusalem to be rejected and crucified, Jesus was refreshed by the genuine faith of blind Bartimaeus. What does simple faith look like? Bartimaeus acknowledged the true identity of Jesus as the Messiah, Son of David; demonstrated faith by His request; and then began the journey to follow Jesus. The simplicity of faith is blinding to some people.
