Hook: When did your exhibition of pride embarrass you in some way?

Book: Jesus introduced the disciples to the pitfalls of pride. In their excitement over successful ministry, they needed to be humbled by the fact that they were simply forgiven sinners themselves. Their position and power was a gift. Jesus stressed humility as the gateway to greater knowledge and service in the future. In fact, past servants of the Lord longed to see these days of Jesus to witness the fulfillment of so many promises.

You should be humbled that God would choose to use you. Taking credit only diminishes your success.
