Hook: Why do you think most people fail to take serving God seriously (verse 2)[R1] ?

Book: Jesus created people to do His work. Just imagine how the disciples’ appointment and preparation must have thrilled them to serve. The world was their oyster, and the worst they could experience was rejection—which really was a rejection of the Father. Unfortunately, most people think they serve God more than they actually do. The fear of painful rejection or ridicule makes people smile at others instead of serving their spiritual needs. For Jesus, was rejection a sign that He was serving well?
