Hook: How do people play the comparison game, trying to show themselves better than others?

Book: Do you think the disciples did not grasp Jesus’ predictions about His pending suffering and death because they were too busy competing for prominence? Jesus rebuked their arrogance by wrapping greatness around humble service to a child. The Lord modeled daily that humility is a race to the bottom not the top. In God’s Kingdom, the goal is to be the very last and the servant of all. Surprisingly, when you arrive at the bottom, you discover that you made it to the top!
