Book: The disciples demonstrated their innocence by not understanding Jesus’ comments about bread and by their need to be warned about the false teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees. The powerful position of the religious leaders was never to be confused with the “truth” of their teaching. Jesus knew that people need help discerning truth from error. False teaching is usually exposed by what a person says about Jesus and His Word.
