Hook: What is the silliest religious rule or tradition you have ever heard?

Book: Jesus discovered that people can have clean hands while tolerating a dirty heart. These critics valued washing their hands more than even honoring their parents, much less accepting the words of Jesus. Creating external rules can blind you to inner hypocrisy. Jesus let them know that nothing outside a man can make him “unclean.” In fact, their silly rules and lack of faith in Him revealed their unclean hearts.
