Hook: What do you think are some common spiritual needs of people you know?

Book: When the twelve disciples returned from spreading the message Jesus had given them, they could hardly wait to tell their stories. Jesus wanted to take them off to a quiet place to reflect, but the needs of the people longing to hear Him grabbed His attention. The people knew Jesus had something they needed. He had compassion on them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd. Jesus interrupted what He wanted to do to take time to teach them many things. Their spiritual need overwhelmed Him and became His immediate priority.
